LARGO CIRCLE BOASTS THE BEAT OF
MANY DIFFERENT DRUMMERS
Bring a drum or other percussion instrument and join us in the drum circle every
first Saturday at 6 p.m. from January until April. The circle forms in the
George C. McGough Nature Park at the Largo Narrows, 11901 146th St. N. Listeners
of all ages are also invited to relax by the campfire and enjoy the rhythm as
Barry Skeete, an Arthur Hull certified drum circle facilitator, leads the group.
There is a $2.00 fee for attendees over the age of 12.

Mainsail Arts Festival
Over 250 Artists to Converge on Waterfront Vinoy Park April 19 & 20
More than 250 professional artists from throughout the U.S. will converge on St.
Petersburg s waterfront Vinoy Park for the 33rd Annual Mainsail Arts Festival on
April 19 and 20. Admission is free. Festival hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on
Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Vinoy Park is located at Bayshore
Drive and Seventh Avenue NE.
Exhibiting artists from 31 states and Canada will present their original work
for sale or available for commission in the following categories: ceramics,
digital art, fibers, glass, graphics, jewelry, metal, mixed media, oil/acrylic,
photography, sculpture, watercolor and wood.
The music lineup, featuring an acoustic afternoon with Al Stewart, also presents
an eclectic blend of smooth jazz, gospel blues and barrelhouse piano, swing,
art-pop, rappin rockin sounds, rhythm and blues, Zydeco, 60s music and classic
rock. The entertainment stage is located in the south end of the park, near the
Vinoy yacht basin, at Bayshore Drive and Fifth Avenue NE.
Named by Sunshine Artist magazine among the 100 Best fine art shows in the
nation, Mainsail offers visual artists $50,000 in cash awards, including the
$10,000 Best of Show.
The two-day premiere cultural event combines visual and performing arts along
with opportunities for children to actively engage in art activities including
the Junior League Kids Create art tent and the Young at ARt student show. There
will be an assortment of culinary arts as well as Mainsail collectibles, posters

Storm the Greens
Come Play Glow “In THe Dark” Golf with Storm players and dancers
Tampa – The Tampa Bay Storm and Airco Golf Course and will partner to host Storm
the Greens Saturday April 19th at 3:30 p.m. Proceeds from the event will benefit
the Make-A-Wish foundation – Central and Northern Florida Chapter Suncoast
Region.
Fans will have the opportunity to meet Storm players and dancers while they test
their skills on the golf course. The day begins at 3:30 p.m. with night golf
teeing off at 7:45 p.m. The event will last until 10:00 p.m. Participants have
the opportunity to meet Storm players and dancers, get autographs and
participate in various contests (drive, putting and chipping).
There will be several give away items including Storm ticket giveaways, weekend
golf packages as well as raffles and prizes. Golf pros will be on hand to
provide advice to all golfers. Pre-registration is $30 and $40 the day of the
event. Golfers can pre-register by sending their name, phone number and e-mail
