Pennies for Peace of Mind November 14 Benefits Industrial Arts Center

Gulfport — Come one, come all for an evening of music, food, fun … and information … to benefit the Industrial Arts Center on November 14th, 5-8 p.m. at the Peninsula Inn & Spa.

Lynn DiVenuti will play her unique jazz and blues infused music while attendees mingle and meet event sponsors who offer a variety of health and wellness related services. The Peninsula will provide free hors d’oeuvres and tickets will be on sale for prize drawings to be held throughout the event. Prizes include IAC memberships and a Blow Your Own Glass Masterpiece certificate. The Industrial Arts Center is just a short walk across the street from the Peninsula and will be open from 8-10 p.m. for demonstrations.

Representatives of the America Living Will Registry, based in Gulfport, will make available free healthcare surrogate and Florida living will documents at the event. Individuals who register their documents will support the Industrial Arts Center as a portion of the registration fee will be donated to the non profit 3D arts teaching facility.

“We are happy to make this opportunity available to the community,” says IAC Executive Director Amy Oatley. “Even if you have taken care of your healthcare directives, it’s so important that they are easily accessible in an emergency when your loved ones may not be thinking clearly. The Registry solves that.”

Admission is only $10 and includes a coupon for a free glass of wine with dinner after the event. Tickets will also be on sale for a chance to win a variety of prizes donated by event sponsors and local merchants. Dr. William A. LaTorre is donating a $1,000 coupon toward a $2,000 holistic fat reduction treatment at his wellness practice, or other services if the winner does not qualify. Dr. William Whipple is donating a consult, exam, and acupuncture treatment valued at $175. Also sponsoring the event is Benjamin Ray, Massage Therapist.

The Peninsula Inn & Spa is located at 2937 Beach Boulevard South, just a short walk from the Industrial Arts Center. Tickets are available online at www.IndustrialArtsCenter.org. The IAC is located at 2902A Beach Boulevard South in the Gulfport Art Village Courtyard. Information: 727-289-9365 or info@industrialartscenter.org.
