Her training is not limited
to traditional Chinese Medicine but also in modern alternative medicine
which allows her to offer several different modalities to treat all types
of conditions and illness.
She received a Bachelors
degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida, a post graduate
degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Florida Institute of
Traditional Chinese Medicine and was also previously licensed in Naturopathy
in Idaho.
Dr. Perkins is nationally
and state board certified by the National Certification of Commission for
Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and the Florida Department of Health as
a Doctor of Oriental Medicine. She served on the medical board of the Cancer
Wellness Institute from 2000-2004.
Dr. Perkins promotes a
natural approach when treating patients, especially in the fields of pain
management, aesthetic enhancement and nutritional counseling.

Perkins. As any of you that have had lower back problems know, even simple
things like driving can be excruciating. As I also play competitive racquetball,
there were times when my pain compromised my ability to compete. A week or so
prior to a major state tournament, I was going through a major flare up and
thought I was going to have to withdraw. My first experience with Dr. Perkins
was the morning of the tournament when I had my first acupuncture treatment.

I have been a patient of Dr. Perkins at Natural Med Therapies for over 3 years.
I have lower back and knee problems from many years of playing competitive
racquetball. While many of my peers have had to quit playing due to similar
injuries and issues, Dr. Perkins treatments keep me in the game and doing well.
I do not believe there to be a more competent and thorough acupuncture and
